Breath of the Forest
Meet the Kamayurá: bearers of indispensable knowledge. This compelling theatrical concert performance is inspired by the worldview of the indigenous Kamayurá community and the music of Heitor Villa-Lobos. A meditative and physical experience brimming with music, movement, and puppetry.
The Nederlands Blazers Ensemble and the Duda Paiva Company are joining forces once again, this time in collaboration with Outra Margem, a platform for art and reflection. Together with Andreia Duarte, founder of Outra Margem, who lived among the Kamayurá for many years, they traveled to the Amazon region and immersed themselves in the life of this indigenous community. In turn, three members of the Kamayurá community are visiting our country to collaborate on this impressive performance. A meditative and physical experience, rooted in an ethical exchange, told through foam, breath, and sound.
