Wat als je de mogelijkheid had om alles aan jezelf te veranderen, perfectie te bereiken, of zelfs onsterfelijk te worden? Zou je die kans grijpen, zelfs als dat betekent dat je alles moet opgeven wat je menselijk maakt?<\/p>\n

In Ghost Box schetst Duda Paiva een mogelijke toekomstige wereld, waar het mens-zijn onder een vergrootglas ligt. We bevinden ons in een energiecentrale die twee prototypes van de neo-mens heeft geproduceerd. Om te functioneren moet het prototype allerlei – soms brute – aanpassingen ondergaan om uiteindelijk een \u2018perfecte\u2019 mens te worden: eeuwig jong, oneindig gemodificeerd en met kunstmatig gegenereerde gevoelens.\u00a0Het publiek kiest: welke van de twee modellen gaat verder?<\/p>\n

Gebruikmakend van elementen van horror en po\u00ebzie nemen de dansers en schuimrubberen sculpturen van Duda Paiva Company je mee in een dystopisch verhaal, waarin de prijs van ons bestaan hoger blijkt dan we beseffen.<\/p>\n
