“Duda Paiva incorporates dramatic monologue and characters of foam rubber into contempory dance, with a creepy avant-garde sensibility.”
Montréal Mirror

Angel depicts the classic fall from Grace of a tramp who meets an angel in a graveyard and sets up home with him. Through the angel we enter an ambivalent world of dreams, curses and revelation. Is the angel a companion, a messenger, a judge or is it just the bad trip of a tramp who has had one too many.

Made by concept and performance Duda Paiva – direction, script Paul Selwyn Norton – puppet Ulrike Quade – light design Bas Vissers, Hanc C. Boer – coach puppetry Neville Tranter.

Angel is a coproduction with Korzo Theatre and CaDance 2004 and Tour and financially supported by Performing Arts Fund NL.
